TECHNICAL ASISTANCE WAS PROVIDED TO THE TARRANT COUNTY (TX) SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT IN DEVISING APPROPRIATE TESTS FOR THE SELECTION OF PATROLMEN AND JAILERS UNDER THE NEWLY-INSTITUTED COUNTY CIVIL SERVICE SYSTEM.
Abstract
IT WAS FOUND THAT IT WAS NECESSARY TO TEST INCUMBENT JAILERS AND PATROLMEN TO ESTABLISH PARAMETERS FOR THE SUBSEQUENT TESTING OF APPLICANTS. THIS PRE-TESTING WAS CARRIED OUT AND TWO VARIABLES WERE IDENTIFIED AS IMPORTANT - PREDICTED SUPERVISORS PERFORMANCE RANK AND PREDICTED EMPLOYMENT TENURE - FOR THE FUTURE TESTS.
