Abstract
ALSO INCLUDED ARE CROSS INDEXES REFERRING COUNTIES TO COUNTY SEATS AND CITIES AND TOWNS TO COUNTIES. THE MAJORITY OF JUSTICES OF THE PEACE ASSUME OFFICE WITH A MINIMUM OF LEGAL OR ADMINISTRATIVE SKILLS. TO IMPROVE THIS SITUATION, TEXAS PASSED LEGISLATION REQUIRING ALL NONATTORNY JUSTICES OF THE PEACE TO COMPLETE, ON A YEARLY BASIS, A COURSE IN THE PERFORMANCE OF THEIR DUTY. THE TEXAS JUSTICE COURT TRAINING CENTER, PUBLISHER OF THIS DIRECTORY, PROVIDED THE ONLY COURSE TO SATISFY THIS REQUIREMENT. A DIRECTORY OF ITS BOARD OF DIRECTORS IS PROVIDED HERE. (RFC)
