A STUDY ON THE ORGANIZATION AND ADMINISTRATION OF THREE JUVENILE COURTS - FULTON COUNTY (GA) JUVENILE COURT, THE JUVENILE COURT FOR THE SECOND DISTRICT OF UTAH, AND THE KING COUNTY (WA) JUVENILE COURT.
Abstract
THE COURTS WERE COMPARED ON THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA: ORGANIZATION AND CHARACTERISTICS; JURISDICTION; STATISTICS AND JUVENILE COURT MANAGEMENT; BUDGET AND BUDGET ADMINISTRATION; PERSONNEL; RECORDS MANAGEMENT; CALENDARING; THE PROSECUTION AND DEFENSE COUNSEL FUNCTION; AND JUVENILE CASE PROCESSING. IN ADDITION, THERE ARE COMPARATIVE STUDIES ON JUDICIAL HEARING OFFICER CONTINUITY; JUVENILE LAW VIOLATIONS; JUVENILE RECIDIVISM; THE TRANSFER OF JUVENILES TO CRIMINAL JURISDICTION; AND THE RELATIONSHIP OF THE THREE COURTS TO NATIONAL STANDARDS AND DIRECTIONS. APPENDIXES CONTAIN STATISTICS RELEVANT TO THE LAST GROUP OF COMPARATIVE STUDIES.
