Abstract
The book describes how to spot the most common confidence games, how hustlers locate their victims, how to scam-proof one's home, what potential victims should do if they are suspicious, whom to call before signing or agreeing to anything, how to determine if a warranty is valid, and why many confidence artists target senior citizens. Some of the most frequently used schemes, which are outlined in this book, involve home repair swindles, home invasions, fortune telling, pigeon drops, bank examiner fraud, bail bond, charitable solicitations, contests, credit card fraud, insurance scams, and fraudulent investments. 2 appendixes
