RESEARCH CONDUCTED IN THE AFFLUENT SOCIETIES CAN OFFER NO SURE SOLUTIONS FOR DEVELOPING COUNTRIES.
Abstract
AT THE PRESENT TIME, HUMANITARIAN CONSIDERATIONS PROVIDE A BETTER GUIDE TO POLICY THAN RESEARCH DOES, AND SUCH CONSIDERATIONS WILL ALWAYS BE OVERRIDING. WHILE NO SOLUTIONS CAN BE OFFERED, THE WAYS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS PERHAPS A PURE TECHNOLOGY - MAY BE RECOMMENDED. THE TYPE OF SOLUTION SOUGHT, HOWEVER, DOES NOT FALL WITHIN THE SCOPE OF THE METHOD FOR SEEKING SOLUTIONS. UNDERLYING THE PROBLEMS OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE IS THE PROBLEM OF WHAT KIND OF SOCIETY IS DESIRABLE, AND TODAY MANY PEOPLE ARE NOT AT ALL CLEAR ABOUT THIS.
