Abstract
THE AUTHOR SUGGESTS THREE STEPS TO BE TAKEN TO ACHIEVE MORE EFFICIENT AND ECONOMICAL FLEET OPERATION. THESE ARE THE NEGOTIATION OF BETTER TERMS FOR THE COMPONENTS AND OTHER ITEMS ASSOCIATED WITH THE OPERATION OF VEHICLE FLEETS, INCREASING THE ANNUAL UTILIZATION OF VEHICLES BY IMPROVING THEIR DEPLOYMENTS, AND DESIGNING AND APPLYING AN OPTIMUM VEHICLE REPLACEMENT POLICY FOR EACH TYPE OF VEHICLE.
