Abstract
HIGHLIGHTED IS THE ST. LOUIS COUNTY POLICE DEPARTMENT'S USE OF VIDEOTAPES TO RECORD CRIMINAL STATEMENTS. MISSOURI APPELLATE AND UNITED STATES SUPREME COURT DECISIONS REGARDING THE USE AND ADMISSIBILITY OF VIDEOTAPED RECORDINGS OF CONFESSIONS, CRIME SCENES, AND CRIME REENACTMENTS ARE ALSO DISCUSSED. EMPHASIZED IS THE NEED FOR THE VIDEO RECORDING TO BE AUTHENTICATED, RELEVANT, AND MATERIAL TO THE CASE.
