Abstract
A SUMMARY OF CONFERENCE MATERIAL IS DESIGNED TO PROVIDE A SHORT DESCRIPTION OF VARIOUS PROGRAMS THROUGHOUT THE UNITED STATES. MATERIAL WILL ALSO ASSIST IN IDENTIFYING ISSUES AND IN DISCOVERING WHERE ASSISTANCE MAY BE OBTAINED AS HE BEGINS TO USE VOLUNTEERS IN REHABILITATION OR UPGRADES EXISTING PROGRAMS. ORGANIZATIONS INCLUDED ARE NATIONAL INFORMATION CENTER ON VOLUNTEERS IN COURTS, NATIONAL COUNCIL ON CRIME AND DELINQUENCY, YOUNG LIFE, BIG BROTHERS ASSOCICATION, AMERICAN JUDICATURE SOCIETY, NATIONAL COLLEGE OF STATE TRIAL JUDGES, LAW ENFORCEMENT ASSISTANCE ADMINISTRATION, NATIONAL PROGRAM FOR VOLUNTARY ACTION, JOHN HOWARD ASSOCIATION, THE CHURCH'S ROLE IN THE VOLUNTEERS IN PROBATION PROGRAM, LIFELINE - YOUTH GUIDANCE, JAYCEES - WATERFORD, MICHIGAN, DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH, EDUCATION AND WELFARE, THE AMERICAN NATIONAL RED CROSS, AND NATIONAL COUNCIL OF JUVENILE COURT JUDGES.
