Abstract
IN WILLIAMS V. FLORIDA, THE COURT HELD THAT THE CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT TO TRIAL BY JURY DOES NOT INCLUDE THE RIGHT TO A TWELVE MEMBER JURY. THE AUTHOR ATTACKS THE LEGAL REASONING AND INTERPERETATION OF EMPIRICAL DATA IN THE DECISION, AND ARGUES AGAINST THE ADOPTION OF MAJORITY VERDICTS FOR FELONY JURY TRIALS IN PENDING SUPREME COURT CASES.
