Abstract
YOUNG DRUG ABUSERS IN A DRUG TREATMENT PROGRAM DISCUSS HOW AND WHY THEY STARTED USING DRUGS AND THE REACTIONS OF THEIR PARENTS WHEN THEY FOUND OUT. IN AN ENCOUNTER GROUP SETTING, THE PARENTS OF THESE YOUNG PEOPLE RELATE THEIR FEELINGS BEFORE AND AFTER THEY DISCOVERED THAT THEIR SONS AND DAUGHTERS WERE USING DRUGS.
