This is a compilation of literary works of inmates in Canada's adult correctional facilities.
Abstract
These short stories and poetry were selected from a larger body of inmate works that were exhibited throughout Canada under the title Prison Arts 71. Prison Arts '71 includes works of art as well as writings. The program is sponsored by the St. Leonard's Society of Canada to encourage creative pursuits and recognize the talents of inmates. Entrants in this program are eligible for scholarships to pursue course work to develop their abilities either while in prison or after release.
