This book outlines the history of each of the 49 U.S. State police/highway patrol agencies, describes the uniform shoulder patches used by each agency throughout its history, and presents photographs of all patches used by each agency at various times.
Abstract
The historical outlines for each agency cover the founding date and subsequent significant dates, changes in agency titles, organizational changes, and personnel information. In addition to verbal descriptions of the shoulder patches worn at various times by each agency's sworn personnel, the years when each patch has been worn are also listed. Agency histories and patch descriptions are presented alphabetically by State.
