Resources for Recipients

The Office for Civil Rights (OCR) provides technical assistance, training, and resources to help recipients and subrecipients comply with civil rights obligations, including the following:  

• OCR Outreach Pamphlet explains OCR's mission, the civil rights laws OCR enforces, and the resources available for recipients.
• Civil Rights Requirements is a general overview of award requirements that relate to civil rights and nondiscrimination.
• Civil Rights Training for Recipients includes recorded video trainings for recipients on civil rights and nondiscrimination topics. 
• Limited English Proficient (LEP) addresses how the prohibition of discrimination on the basis of national origin includes discrimination based on English proficiency.
• Partnerships with Faith-Based and Other Neighborhood Organizations includes examples of guidance that outline the protections provided in law for faith-based or religious organizations.
• Enforcement Examples include investigative findings, compliance review reports, and resolution agreements.
