The Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency (OJJDP) provides a series of articles on recent activities and efforts to support future programs and the improvement of juvenile justice systems. Topics featured in this newsletter include, the 2024 National Conference on Youth Justice; OJJDP’s 2024 grant awards of more than $420 million for the protection of children and improvement of juvenile justice systems through the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act; the section, “From the Administrator’s Desk,” discusses youth leadership and participation at the National Conference on Youth Justice; another section, “From the Field,” covers the International Association of Chiefs of Police annual conference, and their support for Youth Continuums of Care; and “Tribal Connections” reports on a Tribal listening session in Washington, D.C., on the importance of family involvement in successful youth programming.
