THE AMERICAN BAR ASSOCIATION'S STANDARDS FOR PROBATION
Abstract
THE ABA'S STANDARDS FOR PROBATION ARE SET FORTH WITHOUT ANNOTATION. PRECEDING THE STANDARD IS A GENERAL DISCUSSION OF THEIR INTENT. THE STANDARDS ARE DIVIDED INTO SIX PARTS AND ARE AS FOLLOWS - GENERAL PRINCIPLES, PRESENTENCE REPORT, CONDITIONS OF PROBATION, TERMINATION, REVOCATION AND OTHER SANCTIONS, AND IMPLEMENTATION. THESE STANDARDS WERE APPROVED BY THE ABA'S HOUSE OF DELEGATES IN AUGUST 1970.
