REDESIGN OF A COURTROOM FROM AN ARCHITECTURAL VIEWPOINT.
Abstract
THE COURTROOM IS EXAMINED AS A CLOSED SYSTEM - MEANING THAT ANCILLARY REQUIREMENTS- JUDGE'S CHAMBERS, JURY ROOMS AND OTHER FACILITIES- ARE CONSIDERED ONLY SO FAR AS ACCESS POINTS INFLUENCED THE COURTROOM ARRANGEMENT. SPECIALIZED COURTROOMS, JUVENILE COURTS AND SUPREME COURTS, ARE EXCLUDED FROM THE STUDY. THE APPENDED MATERIAL INCLUDES NUMEROUS ACTIVITY DIAGRAMS AND CHARTS. (AUTHOR MODIFIED)
