Abstract
Topics include small claims grievance arbitration; arbitration as the parties see it, including the views of management, a union, and a Canadian advocate; innocent until proven guilty--the union and management views; the arbitration perspective and some special issues unique to air carrier pilots; grievance mediation; arbitration in the professional sports of football and baseball; interest arbitration--State and local government experience, transit system and other efforts to arbitrate contract terms, and employer and union views; and expedited arbitration. Appendixes list officers and committees of the National Academy of Arbitrators for 1983-84 and provide reports of overseas correspondents dealing with wage fixing, recent labor developments, and dispute resolutions in France during 1982.
