Abstract
OF THE 67 PEOPLE CONVICTED OF ARSON, ONLY THREE WERE RECONVICTED FOR THE CRIME OF ARSON BY THE END OF 1971. THIRTY-TWO WERE NOT SUBSEQUENTLY RECONVICTED FOR A STANDARD-LIST OFFENSE BY THE END OF 1971. THE STUDY EMPHASIZED THAT THE VAST MAJORITY OF THOSE CONVICTED OF ARSON ARE NOT RECONVICTED FOR THAT OFFENSE AGAIN.
