THIS ARTICLE IS A SERIES OF BRIEF ESSAYS ON THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN ART IN GENERAL, LITERATURE IN PARTICULAR, AND CRIME.
Abstract
IN THE FIRST PART OF THE ARTICLE THE AUTHOR OUTLINES THE SIMILARITIES AND RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN ARTISTIC AND CRIMINAL BEHAVIOR. IN THE AUTHOR'S OPINION, IN THE MAJORITY OF CASES, BOTH ARTISTS AND CRIMINALS ARE TO BE CONSIDERED AS ISOLATED AND DEVIANT IN RELATION TO THE NORMS AND VALUES OF THE DOMINANT GROUP. WHEN THIS ISOLATION AFFECTS THE EMOTIONAL SPHERE OF THE INDIVIDUAL, IT GIVES RISE TO ARTISTIC MANIFESTATIONS; WHEN IT AFFECTS THE MORAL SHPERE OF THE INDIVIDUAL, IT OFTEN DEGENERATES INTO OPEN REBELLION, GIVING RISE TO CRIMINAL BEHAVIOR. IN THE SECOND PART OF THE ARTICLE THE AUTHOR ANALYZES MORE SPECIFICALLY THE RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN LITERATURE AND CRIMINALITY, THE INFLUENCE OF LITERATURE AS A CRIMINOGENIC FACTOR, AND CRIMINAL ACTS AS SOURCES OF LITERARY INSPIRATION. BIBLIOGRAPHIC REFEERENCES ARE INCLUDED. --IN SPANISH
