PRACTICAL SUGGESTIONS FOR DEALING WITH TELEPHONED THREATS AND CONDUCTING BUILDING SEARCHES.
Abstract
THE ALCOHOL, TOBACCO AND FIREARMS DIVISION OF THE U.S. TREASURY DEPARTMENT SUGGESTS THAT GENERAL PLANNING WITH BUSINESS AND COMMUNITY LEADERS BE DONE IN ADVANCE. IF A TELEPHONED THREAT IS RECEIVED, ALL POSSIBLE INFORMATION, INCLUDING BACKGROUND NOISES, SHOULD BE RECORDED. A FORM FOR THIS PURPOSE HAS BEEN DESIGNED BY 'ATF'. METHODS FOR A THOROUGH ROOM SEARCH BY A TWO-MAN TEAM ARE PROVIDED. THESE PROCEDURES CAN BE ADAPTED TO LARGER AREAS.
