This directory lists, on a state-by-state basis, information on 2,087 appellate and general-jurisdiction courts; each entry has been verified by a court official. Entries are also included for the District of Columbia, American Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands.
Abstract
The entries consist of information on the court name, geographic jurisdiction, clerks, and judges. This third edition reflects many changes including 23 new listings and entry modifications; complete street addresses have been added to as many listings as possible to facilitate private mail delivery. Fax numbers have been included for clerks of the courts. The directory also reflects changes made by some States in the way their courts are organized. Directory finding aids include a personal name index, list of State-level administrators, and an index by geographic jurisdiction.
