THE SIGNIFICANT ANTI-CRIME PROJECTS OF 1972 INITIATED BY CALIFORNIA COUNCIL ON CRIMINAL JUSTICE AND PROSPECTIVE ACTIVITIES FOR 1973.
Abstract
SOME OF THE MAJOR PROJECTS REVIEWED IN THE COUNCIL'S REPORT ARE - A MULTI-JURISDICTIONAL ANTI-BURGLARY ATTACK, BURGLARY PREVENTION SEMINARS FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT PERSONNEL, THE RESTRUCTURING OF THE COUNCIL, A THREE-DAY CRIMINAL JUSTICE RESEARCH CONFERENCE, AND A COUNCILSPONSERED EVALUATION OF THE STATE'S COURTS SYSTEM. IN ADDITION, THE COUNCIL ALLOCATED FUNDS TO LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES TO ASSIST THEM WITH PROJECTS IN JUVENILE DELINQUENCY, DRUG ABUSE, ORGANIZED CRIME, AND INFORMATION SYSTEMS. THE FUNDS ALLOCATED ARE LISTED IN THE REPORT BY PROJECT AND REGION. ANTICIPATED IMPROVEMENTS IN CALIFORNIA'S CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM IN 1973 ARE INCLUDED.
