Abstract
FILMED ON LOCATION IN A RETAIL STORE, THE PLOT UNFOLDS SHOWING TWO TEENAGE GIRLS SHOPPING, JUST LOOKING AT THE MERCHANDISE. THEY ARE TYPICAL TEENAGERS FROM MIDDLE INCOME FAMILIES WHO DO NOT APPEAR TO BE IN DIRE NEED OF ANYTHING. WHAT HAPPENS WHEN ONE SLYLY SHOPLIFTS MERCHANDISE WHICH SHE THINKS NO ONE WILL EVER MISS (THE RETAILER), OR NOTICE (HER PARENTS), IS A MOST REVEALING DOCUMENTARY. IT ALSO SHOWS AN ADULT WOMAN GUILTY OF THE SAME CRIME. THIS FILM IS AIMED AT A TEEN-AGE AUDIENCE. A DISCUSSION GUIDE IS INCLUDED. (AUTHOR ABSTRACT)
