THE STRUCTURES OF VARIOUS HALLUCINOGENS ARE COMPARED AND THE METHODS EMPLOYED IN THEIR DETERMINATION ARE GIVEN.
Abstract
THE GC-MS (GAS CHROMATOGRAPHER - MASS SPECTROMETER) INSTRUMENT IS DESCRIBED AND VARIOUS ANALYTICAL TECHNIQUES ARE COMPARED FOR SPECIFICITY AND ACCURACY. SPECTRAGRAPHS OF METHAMPHETAMINE, PSEUDONOREPHEDRINE, LSD, ATROPINE, SCOPOLAMINE, DITRAN, AND TETRAHYDROCANNABINOL ARE PRESENTED. METHODS FOR THE DETERMINATION OF PHENYLETHYLAMINE-RELATED COMPOUNDS (AMPHETAMINE, MESCALINE, MDA, ETC.), TRYPTAMINE DERIVATIVES (DMT), LYSERGIC ACID DERIVATIVES (LSD), HARMINE, TROPANALKALOIDS (ATROPINE AND SCOPOLAMINE), GLYCOLATE ESTERS (DITRAN), PHENCYCLIDINE DERIVATES, AND CANNABINOIDS ARE LISTED.
