THIS ARTICLE PROPOSES AN APPROACH TO THE TREATMENT OF CHILD ABUSE BY ASSESSING, ON THE BASIS OF PREVAILING THERAPEUTIC TECHNIQUES, WHICH DIAGNOSIS QUESTIONS ARE MOST IMPORTANT.
Abstract
AFTER A HISTORICAL REVIEW, THE AUTHOR ATTEMPTS TO DEFINE THE PHENOMENON OF CHILD ABUSE AND DEALS WITH LEGAL AND PSYCHOSOCIAL ASPECTS OF THE MATTER. IN THE SECOND PART OF THE ARTICLE, THE AUTHOR EXPLAINS HOW PSYCHODIAGNOSIS AND THERAPY CAN BE INTEGRATED AND APPLIED TO THE ASSESSMENT AND TREATMENT OF CHILD ABUSE. EXAMPLES OF HOW VARIOUS TREATMENT APPROACHES, INCLUDING PSCHOANALYSIS, EGO-THERAPY, RELATION THERAPY, AND COUNSELING, CAN BE APPLIED ARE GIVEN. --IN DUTCH
