Abstract
This 11-minute DVD presents highlights of the work being done by police volunteers in college and university law enforcement departments. The programs developed at California State University, San Bernardino, the University of Alaska - Anchorage, and Lehigh University in Pennsylvania are highlighted in this video. The programs were developed by school and law enforcement officials to enhance public safety, expand the use of resources for public safety efforts, and to make better use of law enforcement resources. The video is intended for use by educators and law enforcement officials who wish to develop a volunteer program on their campus. More information for developing a program can be found at Volunteers in Police Service (VIPS) at www.policevolunteers.org. Funding for this project was provided by the Bureau of Justice Assistance in the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs.
