This journal presents six articles on areas of family law and outlines developments and current trends. Although the focus is on national trends, several of the authors rely heavily on their own jurisdictions.
Abstract
However, as family law changes frequently, a national perspective can aid judges to apply the law in their own jurisdiction. The topics covered in the individual articles include child custody and visitation issues; a summary of the laws of spousal support and alimony; property distribution issues; a practical approach to pensions, evaluations, and orders; an analysis of the roles and enforcement powers of family courts; and mediation as an alternative to family court.
