This report presents the Consolidated Budget for the biennium 2014-2015 for the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime.
Abstract
This budget focuses on general-purpose resources of two funds: the Fund of the United Nations International Drug Control Program and the United Nations Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice Fund. The general-purpose funds are used to finance executive direction and management, program and program support components, and to fund temporary advances for projects and other field operations. The proposed budget also contains information on the projected allocation of special-purpose funds and the program support cost income earned from special-purpose contributions. Special-purpose funds are used to finance UNODC's technical cooperation and other substantive activities at the office's headquarters in Vienna and in the field. An overview of the financial situation of the UNODC is also included in this report as are descriptions of the programs funded by UNODC: 1) Countering transnational organized crime and illicit drug trafficking; 2) Prevention, treatment, and reintegration, and alternative development; 3) Countering corruption; 4) Terrorism prevention; 5) Justice; 6) Research and trend analysis; 7) Policy support; 8) Technical cooperation and field support; and 9) Provision of secretariat services and substantive support to the governing bodies and the International Narcotics Control Board.
