Abstract
WITNESSES TESTIFIED ON THE WAY IN WHICH COCAINE AND DANGEROUS DRUGS AND NARCOTICS ARE SMUGGLED INTO THE UNITED STATES THROUGH THE MIAMI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT. EVIDENCE WAS PRESENTED ON THE ROLE OF ORGANIZED CRIME IN DRUG TRAFFICKING AND THE EFFECT ON PRIVATE CITIZENS OF DRUG RELATED CRIME. AN EXAMPLE OF INJUSTICE IN THE JUVENILE CORRECTIONAL SYSTEM WAS PRESENTED TO THE COMMITTEE WHEN TESTIMONY WAS HEARD FROM TWO UNDERPRIVILEGED YOUTHS WHO HAD BEEN PLACED IN AN ADULT PRISON.
