A BRIEF OUTLINE OF THE CRIMINAL PROCEDURE (INCLUDING THE ROLE OF THE POLICE, BOOKING, THE DECISION AS TO BAIL OR DETENTION, AND THE ROLE OF THE PROSECUTOR OR DISTRICT ATTORNEY) IS ALSO PRESENTED. LANDMARK SUPREME COURT DECISIONS INTERPRETING THE FOURTH, FIFTH, SIXTH, AND FOUTEENTH AMENDMENTS TO THE CONSTITUTION ARE ALSO ANALYZED.
