Abstract
A BRIEF REVIEW OF THE FOUR-PHASE CRIMINALISTICS OPERATION (COLLECTION OF EVIDENCE, LABORATORY MEASUREMENTS, INTERPRETATION OF RESULTS, COURT TESTIMONY) IS FOLLOWED BY A DISCUSSION OF EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING, RESEARCH, AND TECHNICAL ASPECTS OF FORENSIC SCIENCE. THE TECHNIQUES DESCRIBED COVER SCANNING ELECTRON MICROSCOPY, PHOTOLUMINESCENCE, THE USE OF FORENSIC SEROLOGY TO IDENTIFY GENETIC MARKERS, AND DRUG IDENTIFICATION AND ANALYSIS.
