LEGAL AND STATISTICAL INFORMATION ON THE OPERATION OF SEXUAL PSYCHOPATH LEGISLATION, AND EXAMINATION OF THE CASE RECORDS OF PRISONERS INCARCERATED FOR THE OFFENSE.
Abstract
RESEARCH DATA INDICATED THAT ONLY THREE OF THE SEVENTEEN EXAMINED INMATES HAD BEEN DANGEROUS IN THE SENSE OF SERIOUSLY THREATENING THE LIFE OR SAFETY OF OTHERS. THE AUTHOR INDICTS THE EXISTING LAW FOR ITS INABILITY TO PROVIDE APPROPRIATE TREATMENT, OR EVEN HUMANE CUSTODY, AND SUGGESTS LEGISLATIVE CHANGES TO PROTECT THE PUBLIC FROM VICIOUS SEXUAL CRIMINALS.
