This directory provides information for members of the Correctional Education Association (CEA) regarding programs and personnel who can assist in their professional development.
Abstract
The CEA was formed in 1946. It is the professional development organization for teachers and other education personnel who are working in correctional settings. This directory lists CEA's contributions to the field, along with the benefits of CEA membership. The directory is intended as a tool to assist CEA members in accessing the benefits of membership, which include increasing effectiveness, expertise, and skills; becoming involved in an active support network of professionals; accessing technical assistance and advocacy; and representing correctional education before the government, the press, and the public. The first section of the directory contains a list of CEA Executive Board members and State Chapter presidents. There is an updated section that contains contact information for each of the Special Interest Group chairs and the e-mail addresses for the very active members who wish to exchange information related to their interests. This year's directory has expanded the section that contains contact information for correctional education administrators to include the most current contact information and website addresses. Information is provided on professional training efforts in correctional education, videos available from the CEA, libraries and institutions, and the 2002 CEA membership.
