              BASED ON THE FINDINGS OF A DEVON, ENGLAND WORKING PARTY, THIS DOCUMENT OUTLINES THE WORKING PARTY'S POSITION ON SCHOOL DISRUPTIONS, PRESENTS SEVERAL CASE EXAMPLES OF DISRUPTIVE STUDENTS, AND PROVIDES RECOMMENDATIONS.
          Abstract
              THE WORKING PARTY STATES THAT 1) TEACHERS SHOULD BE REASSURED ABOUT THE COMMUNITY'S SUPPORT, 2) THAT LEVELS OF TOLERANCE OF MISBEHAVIOR NEED TO BE DEFINED, AND 3) THAT ORGANIZED LEARNING FOR THE MAJORITY OF PUPILS MUST NOT BE DISRUPTED BY A MINORITY.  AFTER OUTLINING THESE POSITIONS, A NUMBER OF CASES OF DISRUPTIVE BEHAVIOR IN THE DEVON SCHOOLS ARE EXAMINED. FURTHER SECTIONS DISCUSS THE SANCTIONS WHICH ARE AVAILABLE TO TEACHERS AND THE PROVISION OF SUPPORT SERVICES.
