This edition of the Drug Enforcement statistical report presents a cumulative compilation of all Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) statistics through March 1980.
Abstract
Tables present data for enforcement acitivity, drug abuse indicators, and organization and training. Concerning enforcement activity, specific tables give data for DEA Federal domestic drug removals, DEA State and local task force removals, and DEA/foreign cooperative drug removals, as well as other drug removals, various categories of arrests and dispositions, laboratory analyses performed, and aliens arrested within the U.S. for a drug offense. Tables on drug abuse indicators present data on adjusted heroin price and purity by regional distribution, national illicit drug retail prices, drug thefts by geographic regions, and drug-related deaths and injuries, along with federally funded drug treatment admissions. Finally, organization and training data encompasses the area of DEA personnel and field offices, and domestic and foreign enforcement training. Footnotes are provided.
