EVALUATION OF PSYCHOTHERAPY TREATMENT PROGRAM AT WALPOLE INDICATES A SIGNIFICANT IMPACT ON LOWERING RECIDIVISM.
Abstract
IT WAS ALSO DISCOVERED THAT THE SUBJECTS IN THE THERAPY SAMPLE WHO DID BECOME RECIDIVISTS TENDED TO BE RETURNED FOR LESS SERIOUS OFFENSES THAN THEIR NON-THERAPY COUNTERPARTS, AND THAT THE RECIDIVISTS IN THE RX SAMPLE WERE FOUND TO HAVE REMAINED IN THE COMMUNITY SIGNIFICANTLY LONGER BEFORE THEIR RE-INCARCERATION THAN THE NON-RX RECIDIVISTS.
