THE PROVISION OF SUBSTITUTE FAMILIES FOR 12-18 YEAR OLD DELINQUENT YOUTHS, FOR SUPERVISION, RESOCIALIZATION, AND THE FORMATION OF HEALTHY INTERPERSONAL RELATIONS.
Abstract
YOUTHS IN THE DIVISION OF YOUTH SERVICES FOSTER GROUP HOME PROGRAM HAVE BEEN PLACED ON PROBATION BY THE FLORIDA JUVENILE COURTS, OR FURLOUGHED FROM A STATE TRAINING SCHOOL. PROJECTED FIGURES OF CHILDREN POTENTIALLY REQUIRING PLACEMENT AND A COST-BENEFIT ANALYSIS, CONTAINED IN THIS PAPER, INDICATE THAT EXTENSION OF THIS PROGRAM IS JUSTIFIABLE AND ECONOMICAL. INCLUDED IS A CHART SHOWING THE LOCATION OF THE ELEVEN FOSTER GROUP HOMES, THEIR OPENING DATES, AND POPULATION OF THE CHILDREN SERVICED AS OF MARCH 1973.
