Abstract
SOME GENERALIZED CONCLUSIONS WERE THAT AT LEAST ONE THIRD OF THOSE WARDS RELEASED HAVE NO SUBSEQUENT ARREST RECORD, ANOTHER THIRD WERE SUBSEQUENTLY COMMITTED TO THE CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS, AND THE BALANCE HAVE VARYING DEGREES OF SUCCESS IN AVOIDING CONFLICT WITH THE LAW.
