THIS POLICE TRAINING FILM IS CONCERNED WITH FORCIBLE ENTRY, KNOCK AND NOTICE, SEARCH AND SEIZURE, AND ORAL AND TELEPHONIC SEARCH WARRANTS.
Abstract
THE PURPOSE AND USE OF FORCE IS DISCUSSED IN RELATION TO COMPLIANCE, SUBSTANTIAL COMPLIANCE AND NONCOMPLIANCE WITH KNOCK AND NOTICE PROCEDURES. EXCEPTIONS TO THE EXCLUSIONARY RULE ARE NOTED IN THE SEIZURE OF ITEMS UNNAMED IN THE WARRANT. THE FILM DISCUSSES THE NECESSARY DISCLOSURE AND PRODUCTION OF CONFIDENTIAL INFORMANTS WHEN THAT INFORMANT IS A MATERIAL WITNESS ON THE QUESTION OF GUILT. THE PROCEDURES NECESSARY IN CALIFORNIA TO OBTAIN ORAL AND TELEPHONIC SEARCH WARRANTS ARE PRESENTED. AN INSTRUCTOR'S MANUAL IS INCLUDED.
