MICROSCOPICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE LEAVES OF SEVERAL COMMONLY ENCOUNTERED INDIAN PLANTS, AND THE PRESERVATION OF THESE CHARACTERISTICS IN THE DRIED STATE.
Abstract
THE EXAMINATION OF DRIED LEAVES IS REQUIRED IN SOME CRIME CASES AS PART OF THE PHYSICAL EVIDENCE INVESTIGATION. THE RESULTS OF THIS STUDY SHOW THAT BASED ON VARIOUS INDICES AND ANATOMICAL FEATURES, IT IS POSSIBLE TO COMPARE AND IDENTIFY THE DRIED LEAVES WITH THE PARENT PLANTS. (AUTHOR ABSTRACT)
