A formula and procedures for the application, review, and award or denial of requests for funds for community corrections agencies in Connecticut are outlined.
Abstract
Background information to the funding guidelines explains the budget process and notes how allocations are determined. The guidelines state that agencies will be notified at least 30 days prior to the submission of the Department of Correction budget to submit their views; agencies are given 10 days to respond to the notification. After budget hearings are held, a final decision will be reached as to the amount of funds to be awarded or a denial of the request for funds for each agency according to the funding formula criteria spelled out in this report. Each agency can appeal the decision. No references are supplied.
