This directory -- distributed by the U.S. Department of Justice to thousands of law enforcement personnel around the country and by the Information Technology Association of America to thousands more in the private sector -- provides users with ready access to companies that offer information security products and services.
Abstract
The directory provides information on premiere companies whose expertise includes intrusion detection systems, authentication tools, virus protection, training solutions, risk management services, and many other services. They offer the information and experience to address security issues. The directory lists the companies alphabetically and by the following specialties: access controls, authentication tools, biometric technology, computer forensic services, disaster recovery services, encryption, firewalls, intrusion detection, auditing services, red teaming, training/education, virtual private networks, virus protection, and vulnerability analysis. The information on each company includes the name, position, and address of a key contact person, as well as the phone number, and e-mail and web site addresses of the company. A listing of the tools and services in which the company specializes is followed by a narrative description of the services offered.
