This journal of the Israel Ministry of Public Security presents several articles describing innovations and implementations in maintaining public security, law enforcement, crime prevention, and corrections.
Abstract
The Israel Ministry of Public Security consists of two executive arms: the Israel Police and Israel Prison Service. The Ministry of Public Security is responsible for the personal security of Israeli citizens, for the public order and law enforcement. The Ministry also publishes the journal Innovation Exchange. This issue of the journal presents 15 articles under the headings of Ministry, Policing, and Corrections: Prison Service. These include seven articles for the Ministry covering the future of public security, homeland security, crowd behavior and public order, ombudsman for police and prison service personnel, electronic monitoring, and utilizing the environment and empowerment in crime prevention; four articles for policing on the creation of facial composite by a forensic technician to trap a serial rapist, caring for the victims of crime, learning the basics about crime prevention, and innovative information system for the Israel Police management; and four articles for corrections on ancient churches found in archaeological digs within prison grounds, inmates and students behind the prison walls, photographic exhibitions from inside and outside the prison walls, and inmate transport vehicles.
