Abstract
The 17 papers and eight workshops at the Conference discussed many aspects of the international exchange of information, including: (1) the international exchange of information as a necessary precondition for combating crime; (2) developing intelligence sharing at the national level; (3) the exchange of operational, tactical and strategic information on the international level; (4) the European police services as information intensive enterprises; (5) police cooperation in the Nordic countries; (6) legal conditions at national and international level; (7) influence of data protection concerns; (8) cooperation between the police and customs; (9) the interagency approach; and (10) coordination between police and prosecutors.
