Abstract
THE STUDY'S OBJECTIVE IS TO TAKE STOCK OF THE RAPID ACCUMULATION OF EXPERIENCE SINCE 1965 IN INTERVIEWING MEMBERS OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC FOR KNOWLEDGE RELEVANT TO CRIMINOLOGY. THE STUDY INVOLVES SURVEYS DEALING WITH CIVIC ORDER, DELINQUENCY, CRIME, LAW ENFORCEMENT, ADMINISTRATION OF JUSTICE, AND CLOSELY RELATED TOPICS. TO BE INCLUDED IN THE REVIEW, A SURVEY HAD TO INVOLVE INTERVIEWS OR QUESTIONNAIRES ADMINISTERED TO A STUDY POPULATION THAT WAS NOT ACTIVELY INVOLVED IN THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE FIELD. (AUTHOR ABSTRACT)
