BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF MEDICAL TERMINOLOGY AND FUNCTIONS OF THE CARDIOVASCULAR SYSTEM, AND A SUGGESTED METHOD FOR POLICE INVESTIGATING DEATH BY HEART ATTACK.
Abstract
THE AUTHOR CONTENDS THAT POLICE INVESTIGATORS TEND TO CLASSIFY NATURAL DEATHS SIMPLY AS 'DEATH DUE TO NATURAL CAUSES', RATHER THAN REPORT ANY UNDERLYING CAUSES OR CIRCUMSTANCES. HE PRESENTS A DESCRIPTION OF THE WORKINGS OF THE HEART, AND SUGGESTS THAT POLICE SHOULD FAMILIARIZE THEMSELVES WITH CONCEPTS AND SYMPTOMS OF CORONARY ATTACKS AND BE ABLE TO UNDERSTAND AND USE THE APPROPRIATE TERMINOLOGY IN COMPREHENSIVE POLICE REPORTS OF DEATH.
