BASIC PRINCIPLES FOR ADMINISTRATION OF A SERVICE PROGRAM FOR PREVENTION AND TREATMENT OF JUVENILE DELINQUENCY ARE SET FORTH IN LEGAL LANGUAGE.
Abstract
RECENT CONCEPTS HAVE EVOLVED AS RESULT OF JUDICIAL DECISIONS OR CHANGED CONDITIONS, ESPECIALLY THE DIVERSION OF CHILDREN AND YOUTH FROM THE JUVENILE JUSTICE SYSTEM. PROVISION AND ADMINISTRATION OF SERVICES AND FACILITIES FOR CARE AND TREATMENT MUST BE PROVIDED IN THE COMMUNITIES IN WHICH THE CHILDREN LIVE. EACH STATE MUST ADAPT THESE SUGGESTIONS TO MEET ITS OWN NEEDS AND FIT PROVISIONS TO ITS OWN CONSTITUTION AND PERHAPS CONSIDER CHANGES IN ITS OWN LAWS.
