This manual presents the texts of 61 policies and 21 types of procedures required for the handling of both adult and juvenile offenders and the internal managment of the probation and parole division of Maine's Department of Corrections.
Abstract
Most of the policies took effect on January 1, 1984. They cover general management, personnel procedures, financial management, planning, recordkeeping, and other topics. The adult procedures cover hearings, case management, revocation of probation, and other subjects. Topics covered in the juvenile procedures include investigations prior to dispositions, pardons, aftercare, and the case management system. Forms are included.
