Abstract
FOLLOWING AN HISTORICAL BACKGROUND OF THE COMMISSION AND A DISCUSSION OF THE SALIENT PROVISIONS OF THE CORRECTIONAL TRAINING ACT, SUMMARIES ARE PRESENTED OF THE MEETINGS, MEMBERS, AND STAFF OF THE COMMISSION. A LIST OF THE COMMISSION'S RULES AND REGULATIONS ARE INCLUDED. 1972, 1973, AND 1974 FISCAL YEAR OPERATIONS FOR THE MARYLAND CORRECTIONAL TRAINING ACADEMY ARE GIVEN, ALONG WITH PLANS FOR THE 1975 FISCAL YEAR. A DISCUSSION OF PROBLEM AREAS IS FOLLOWED BY COMMENTS ON THE ESTABLISHMENT OF MINIMUM STANDARDS OF CORRECTIONAL TRAINING, WHICH FOCUSES ON ENTRANCE LEVEL AGENTS AND COUNSELORS COURSE OUTLINE AND ENTRANCE LEVEL CORRECTIONAL OFFICERS COURSE OUTLINE. THE APPENDIXES INCLUDE PROGRAMS AND NUMBER OF TRAINEES, FEDERAL GRANT BUDGETS, TRAINING COMMISSION BUDGETS, MARYLAND CORRECTIONAL TRAINING COMMISSION ACT, AND MARYLAND CORRECTIONAL TRAINING ACADEMY STAFF.
