THIS FEASIBILITY AND DEVELOPMENT STUDY, DATED APRIL, 1977 WAS PERFORMED FOR THE MASON COUNTY (WA) POLICE DEPARTMENT WHOSE 26 SWORN PERSONNEL SERVE A 26,000 (YEAR AROUND) TO 100,000 (SUMMER) MEMBER POPULATION ON 964 SQUARE MILES.

BECAUSE OF THE EXISTENCE OF SEVERAL EMERGENCY TELEPHONE NUMBERS, DISPATCH POINTS, AND THE GREAT INFLUX OF A VISITOR POPULATION, EMERGENCY COMMUNICATION FROM CITIZENS AND THE ABILITY TO LOCATE THE SITE OF EMERGENCY SITUATIONS WAS POOR.
